Information Collected and Stored Automatically
While viewing or downloading information on the portions of the Orlandoairports.net that relate to Experience MCO (the “Site”), the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (“we” or “us,”) will gather and store certain information about your visit automatically. This information does not identify you personally. Only the following information is collected and stored about your visit:
- The internet domain and IP address from which you access the Site;
- The type of browser and operating system used to access the Site;
- The date and time you access the Site;
- The pages you visit; and
- If you linked to our website from another website, the address of that website.
This information is generally collected using Google Analytics, and we use this information to make the Site more useful to visitors. As part of our automated data collection, we do not track or record information about individuals and their visits.
Privacy and Parking Reservations
When you make an Experience MCO parking reservation through our online system, certain information needs to be collected to process your parking reservation. This information may include your name, email address, phone number, credit card information, and vehicle license plate number. Although the pages for making parking reservations are accessible through our Site, our third-party parking provider will collect and store your parking-related data. To the extent your data is subject to the European Union’s General Data Privacy Regulation (the “GDPR”), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the Californian Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) , your rights with respect to those privacy laws are set forth in our provider’s privacy policy which is available here. We have the right to access that information and may use it to improve our services or to offer other services to you. Your credit card information is collected and stored securely by our third-party provider.
De-Identified/Non-Personal Information
“Personal Information” is information which personally identifies you, such as your name, physical address, email address, phone number, credit card number and type (but only where we are processing payments at your request), password, age/birthday, parent status, phone number, social media identifiers, and email or other contact information.
Aggregated Non-Personal Information is different from Personal information. “Aggregated Non-Personal Information” is information about our users, their computers and/or use of services that are collected into groups so that it no longer reflects or references an individually identifiable user. This information may include, without limitation, all of the automatically collected information above and information relating to parking reservations after all personally identifiable information is removed. We may collect and use Aggregated Non-Personal Information to improve our service or for any other reason, at our sole discretion.
Public Disclosure
As a general rule, we do not disclose any personally identifiable information collected online except when you have given us permission or where the information is requested to be disclosed and is public information under the State of Florida statutes or other applicable laws. Visitors to the site should be aware that Florida’s public records law, embodied in Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, declares that “[i]t is the policy of this state that all state, county, and municipal records are open for personal inspection and copying by any person.” Thus, information we collect may be subject to examination and inspection upon request, if such information is public record and not otherwise protected from disclosure by statute. Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records and open for inspection. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to us. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing. However, please note that your email address is not provided to us (unless specifically included by you) when submitting forms on the Site. State and federal law exempts certain categories of documents from disclosure under the public records laws. The relevant exemptions which apply to the Site include:
- Certain documents involving personal matters, which are confidential under Florida law; and
- Certain personal information for determined occupational groups, including the personal information of their spouses and children.
Before any information is released pursuant to a public record request, any exempt information must be deleted or redacted from the documents and/or records.
Choice
You may decline to participate in any activity that asks for information (e.g., surveys or emails). Declining to participate will have no effect on your ability to access information on this Site, but you will not be able to engage in certain activities like parking reservations through Experience MCO. You may also avoid having cookie information collected on our Site by disabling cookies in your browser but doing so may cause portions of the Site or certain services we offer to work incorrectly or not work at all.
Data Retention and Site Security
Raw data logs are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with the State of Florida’s guidelines for records management and retention. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this Site are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Infrastructure Protection Act.
